Poor quality control?

I am either unlucky or there is a quality control issue with the dv7-3105ea. The original one I received had a faulty hard drive and would not boot into windows, so Amazon sent a replacement which has dead pixel on the screen. The laptop looks great and has a brilliant specification so I will give it one more go to try and get a fully working machine.
Update: The third one appears OK and for the price is an excellent specification.
